The sun shone for the launch of Malmesbury’s “fantastic new market” as Mayor, Cllr John Gundry said in his official opening statement watched by a crowd of happy shoppers & traders. The town’s atmosphere was filled with excitement as this new weekly Friday market was warmly welcomed. The Market featured plenty of wonderful produce for shoppers to browse, taste and try, including artisan breads, organically grown fruit and veg, beautiful hand-crafted stationery, wood products, handmade soaps, tasty preserves, indulgent cheeses and scrumptious pies.
