On 9th September 2001 67 UK citizens died alongside nearly 3,000 others in the most well known terrorist
attack in modern times. But what happened on that day and how did it occur?
It took the demands of the families of the dead to insist on a reason why their beloved died before the US
Government setup the 911 Commission, 2 years after the event, with the goal to produce a definitive report
on what happened and the causes of the events that took place.
Yet given the scope of this document there are many long standing professionals, covering Architects,
Scientists and Pilots, who have questioned the conclusions of the report and even point out omissions and
failings.
The intent of showing this film is to look at some of these independent investigations and their conclusions
versus the 911 Commission Report, as the US Government stated cause of the events on that fateful day.
There are several types of films covering 911. Those that are based on the book, which reinforces the US
government story, those that show the human tragedy of the day without looking to explain what happened
and why, and finally those that show how the events have been independently and scientifically analysed
producing a very different set of conclusions. As the years have passed so more and more evidence is being
identified and the conclusions are being refined.
There are many people who have tried to raise these questions within mainstream media. Take a look at how
sceptics have been treated both in the US and the UK. There is a dedicated BBC website into 911, which
echoes the 911 Commission Report, as well as a number of BBC produced Documentaries which are used to
reinforce this story and debunk questions and evidence raised by others.
Today there is a UK Charity providing teachers, which may have direct links to Companies running Academies,
with the tools to present the 911 Commission Report, supported by a BBC website, as history to our children.
